Aetna Dental has the following dental coverage plans available: direct preferred PPO, direct core PPO, and direct preventive PPO.

Aetna dental coverage plans

Obtain the coverage you require to maintain the health of your mouth, teeth, and gums. You don’t need to have Aetna medical or other coverage with Aetna to purchase the Aetna Dental PPO plan because preventive oral care is fully covered with no out-of-pocket expenses.

When you convert from your current comparable plan to an Aetna plan, the waiting period for major procedures such as crowns or root canals—which are typically subject to waiting periods under most dental insurance policies—will be waived. As a result, you can immediately use your plan.
