The trail is accessible throughout the year and is beautiful at all times. Dogs are permitted, though they must be on a leash. The trailhead provides a limited number of parking spaces. If the parking lot at the main trailhead is full, you can bypass it by taking Alta Laguna Boulevard directly to the Top of the World to take in the view.

The trailhead provides a limited number of parking spaces. If the parking lot at the main trailhead is full, you can bypass it by taking Alta Laguna Boulevard directly to the Top of the World to take in the view. This is not a good option for a hike immediately following heavy rain, as the trail may be closed due to mud. This trail leads directly to the Top of the World viewpoint and is a shorter alternative for viewing the scenery.
